Pastry baker Lola van Ruler takes you on a journey through the Indian cuisine of the past and present.

With respect for history, a proud look ahead and a mixing bowl and whisk in hand, Lola shares her Indonesian roots - and with it those of the more than 350,000 Indonesian Dutch people - on the basis of recipes for sweet and savory pastries, which have their origin in the time of the Dutch East Indies and those that arose later in the Netherlands: from spekkoek to sponge cake and from pangsit to pie.
