Plate Still life with flowers
The Golden Age is a period in Dutch history that largely coincides with the seventeenth century. The Republic of the Seven United Netherlands went through a heyday in the field of, among other things, the arts. The image on the plate is based on Still life with flowers in a glass vase, a painting by Jan Davidsz. De Heem (Utrecht April 1606 – Antwerp between 18 September 1683 and 18 September 1684). Jan Davidsz. De Heem was a Dutch painter. He only painted still lifes. Still life with flowers in a glass vase can be seen in the Rijksmuseum.
