mango chilli cocktail
The ever sultry Marilyn Monroe said it 60 years ago: Some like it hot! And who are we to contradict this beautiful lady. This is how our tastemaker Judith came up with the idea for a syrup with a pit. A combination of mango, cane sugar and… chili pepper. The basis for a spicy summer cocktail or mocktail. Depending on your cap (or sun hat). Whatever you make of it, summer will be a party!
How do you make the mango chili cocktail?
Put the contents of the jar in a pan, add 120 ml of water and put on a low heat. Heat while stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Filter the syrup. Keep the mango aside for garnish.
To serve
The following applies to the mocktail: 1 part mango-chili syrup to 1 part tonic.
The following applies to the cocktail: 1 part mango-chili syrup to 1 part gin or gin.
Add plenty of ice and garnish with the reserved mango if desired. Cheers hotties!
